◆What is ‘Calligraphilia’
Calligraphilia is a coined word, combining "calligraphy" and "philia". We started this with the hopes of developing our friendship between calligrapher and artist, with the common word "calligraphy" bringing together the large number of calligraphy groups in Japan, and of enriching our appreciation of classic and creative views of Calligraphy Art. Let's get together and explore the calligraphy of both Japan and the world:)

◆Our aim
We aim to foster knowledge and share thoughts, and create a great opportunity for everyone who enjoys calligraphy.
We are open to anyone who:
- wishes to begin, improve, or enjoy calligraphy.
- wants to broaden their views in different ways.
- would like to make a better society through the ideals of Calligraphy.
No experience, no worries! All lovers of fine Calligraphy and Art are kindly invited to join us.

◆Main Activities
- Visiting calligraphy exhibition.
Zi Gong replied, "It is said in the Book of Poetry, 'As you cut and then file, as you carve and then polish.' - The meaning is the same, I apprehend, as that which you have just expressed." The philosopher You said, "In practicing the rules of propriety, a natural ease is to be prized. In the ways prescribed by the ancient kings, this is the excellent quality, and in things small and great we follow them. Yet it is not to be observed in all cases. If one, knowing how such ease should be prized, manifests it, without regulating it by the rules of propriety, this likewise is not to be done."
The master's mode of asking information! - is it not different from that of other men?"
